Welcome to the Capital City Kiwanis Club, Montgomery, Alabama

Who are we?

The Capital City Kiwanis Club was chartered on October 11, 1954. The first club president was Bowen Hill. The focus of our club is to assist in improving the
lives of the youth of primarily the Montgomery area.

For years we did so by sponsoring the annual Blue/Gray Basketball Tournament. In 2003, we went away from the basketball tournament and adopted an annual Golftoberfest Golf Tournament.

What do we do?
We Serve Children.

  • Monthly opportunities to read to children
  • Regular opportunities to assist the Boys & Girls Club
  • Fishing Rodeos with the Alabama Wildlife Federation

Do you have some new ideas? - We want to know!

Who do we support?

  • Reading is Fundamental (RIF)
  • Boys and Girls Clubs of the River Region
  • Boy Scouts, Tukabatchee Council
  • Girl Scouts of South Alabama
  • YMCA
  • Children’s Center

And many more!!!

What can you get out of the Club?

Networking – Get to know other professionals well. We really are a “Club”. The friendships you make here become more than just contacts.

Inside Information – Like to be the “in the know”? Our goal is to bring in relevant, interesting, and fun speakers. Our speakers keep us on the pulse of the River Region and the State.

Community Service – No need to reinvent the wheel. We have several great ways to serve, but if you have some new ideas then we are all ears!

Mentoring – Are you interested in knowing how others have succeeded? All ages are well represented.

Diversity – We seek to be a diverse organization. We believe in strength through diversity.
